Visa Information

For Canadians entering Germany, Visa free travel applies for 90 days in any 180 day period. You must contact the German embassy to obtain the appropriate visa(s) prior to travel.

For German applicants; Canada offers work permits, and co-op work permits to students depending on their reason for residence. Apply for a work permit if you are not required by your Univeristy to complete a co-op as part of your studies.

Funding Your travels

Relative costs of living in Canada and Germany might mean Canadians save money while working abroad.
Some of travel expenses to consider before your exchange:

Board, food, and travel (ie; cost of living).
Passports and visa processing fees.
Airfare to final destination.
